CycleOps Pro 300PT Indoor Cycle

The Fit: When the 300PT was being designed by CycleOps, they understood that the ease of adjustability was a crucial component of making a top-quality indoor trainer. If the bike doesn't fit right, then it won't be comfortable or ride well, which means you won't look forward to riding on it! Well the days of limited adjustability and poor fitting in an indoor cycle are over! The seat, saddle height, stack, and the reach can all be adjusted on the CycleOps Pro 300PT with easy quick-release levers. Easily put on your own saddle on the bike and get dialed into your aero or road position in a flash.

The ride: CycleOps designed the indoor cycle to look like a bike and ultimately ride like one, and it does just that! Spin-up and spin-down is very realistic, thanks to the massive flywheel (20+kilograms!). The resistance is also pretty gradual and similar to the road, which can easily be adjusted by a grip-shift dial at the end handlebar on the right side. However, it is a fixed gear bike in terms of the direct drivetrain. That means you shouldn't try to stop pedaling without slowing down the flywheel, which is done using the brake lever. And don't worry about flex in the drivetrain, just take a look at the mammoth seat stays and the wide front and rear base in the picture!

The Data: A CycleOps PowerTap 2.4 wireless hub has been built into the rear wheel and connects to the large display that mounts in the middle of the aerobar extensions. The large display allows for heart rate, speed, power, cadence, and speed all at the same time! After riding you can download your data to analyze with the included PowerAgent 7.0 software.
